Repair Phillips Parkway and Speed Limit Study

The US Space Force required a firm to support the rehabilitation of Phillips Parkway, one of the most travelled and mission critical roads at the Cape Canaveral Space Force Station in Florida.

DRMP performed transportation and support services for the repair of Phillips Parkway, encompassing 5.5 miles of roadway. The project included failure analysis, mill and overlay, and sectional full depth repair for the two northbound lanes from the installation entry control point to the Industrial Area. The project also included the design and replacement of all traffic control signage compliant with UFC, FDOT, and MUTCD. Additional critical smoothness criteria were incorporated into the design to ensure compliance with standards for the transport of spacecraft on the entirety of this section of roadway.

The roadway was repaired, restoring confidence in the Space Force's ability to safely transport space flight hardware and payloads along this critical roadway.
