SR 434 Bridge Widening
Seminole County, Florida

Design consisted of a bridge widening over the Little Econlockhatchee River on a heavily traveled high-speed rural road. The plan elements consisted of PD&E study, highway, bridge, drainage, scour analysis, earth retaining walls, water bearing structures, right-of-way and survey, pavement marking, MOT, and phased bridge construction details. Stormwater quality concerns were accommodated by designing a retention/detention structure beneath the bridge spans. Permit packages included: ACOE General Usage Permit, ACOE Dredge & Fill Permit, Management of Storage and Surface Water (MSSW) Permit, and Trustees of the Internal Improvements Trust Fund (TIITF) Permit.
