DRMP provided professional engineering and surveying services for the Florida Department of Transportation District Two office relative to the proposed widening and/or replacement of 14 bridges at 8 stream crossings located along US 1 in Duval and Nassau Counties. DRMP conducted a Project Development and Environmental Study to evaluate the proposed improvements including the preparation of separate Location Hydraulics Reports, Bridge Hydraulics Reports including scour design, Bridge Development Reports, Preliminary Engineering Reports, and Categorical Exclusions. Coordination with FEMA was also conducted to ensure that no rise in the flood plain elevations occurred as a result of these constructions. In 1995, the FDOT approved the study and authorized DRMP to proceed with the final design and preparation of construction plans for all bridge sites.

DRMP was responsible for design surveys on all bridges including alignment, roadway topography and cross sections along with channel surveys. All work on this project was completed using EFB and a DTM was developed in our CAiCE data base.
