DRMP’s Restrepo Earns GISP Certification Restrepo has joined an elite group of 206 GISPs in the state of Florida. This certification requires achievement in three areas: educational achievements, professional experience and contributions to the profession. DRMP’s Griscom Appointed to an International Engineering Task Force The Task Force meets once a year at the APWA Annual Congress to exchange ideas, information, technology and management practices amongst the Public Works counterparts of Australia, New Zealand and the United States. Griscom has been with DRMP for a year and has over 26 years of experience within the local governmental public works arena. DRMP Adds Engineering Department Manager in Ft. Myers In his new position, Karakos will be responsible for marketing, project management and technical oversight of staff production as well as establishing and maintaining client relationships. Karakos has over 27 years of experience in numerous facets of Civil Engineering. His technical design experiences encompass: Interchanges, Highways, Bridges, Intersections, Commercial Developments, Residential Developments, Municipal Facilities, County Facilities and Federal Government Facilities.
Professional Florida Land Surveyor Elected Cape Coral Council Member Burch was able to gain over 8,600 votes, garnishing 59.49% of the votes in District One- the most votes received in all five districts. His term will last two years. Burch has over 30 years of experience in the surveying profession. He has provided surveying services in California, Florida, Maryland and Virginia. DRMP’s Restrepo Earns Engineering Intern Certificate Restrepo has 15 years of experience in both public and private sectors and is involved with modeling and GIS analysis processing for DRMP’s water resource projects. DRMP’s Bishop Elected Vice President of Florida Surveying and Mapping Society, Volusia County Chapter Bishop has been with DRMP for a total of 19 years and is currently the Survey Field Manager in the DeLand office. Bishop said that this opportunity will help him, “to assist local surveyors and mappers in conveying their concerns on items that govern our profession to our state level FSMS officers and lobbyists.” DRMP’s Jason Houck Earns GISP Certificate Houck has been with DRMP for four years and is a GIS Analyst in the environmental sciences department. With this certification, Jason joins an elite group of 181 certified GISPs in the state of Florida. This certification requires achievement in three areas: educational achievement, professional experience, and contributions to the profession. “Having this certification shows that my experience, education and demonstrated abilities have been reviewed by my peers within my field and has been accepted as meeting the standards for certification,” said Houck. DRMP Announces New Surveying and Mapping Leadership in Panama City Beach Steven Kieffer is a Florida Registered Professional Surveyor and Mapper and brings 25 years of experience to the firm. His new responsibilities will include project management leadership, oversight of staff and client relations for current and future surveying and mapping projects produced out of the Panama City Beach office. DRMP’s Panama City Beach office offers a full-range of surveying and mapping capabilities including: Boundary Surveys, Topographic Surveys, Wetland/Jurisdictional Surveys, Route Surveys, Sketch and Descriptions, Right-of-Way Control/Mapping, Horizontal and Vertical Control, Commercial Site Plans/Platting and Subsurface Utility Excavation. DRMP’s Wild Passed Surveyor in Training Exam Wild currently serves as a Survey Intern in DRMP’s Gainesville office, where he has gained experience as a survey/cadd technician and crew worker. Wild will be graduating from the University of Florida this December, with a Bachelor’s of Science Degree in Geomatics. Four Pass CST Exam in DRMP’s Orlando Office Winters, Survey Technician, has been with DRMP for two years and passed CST level two. DRMP’s Fredlund Relocates to Promote Growth in Georgia Office Fredlund brings 13 years of experience in transportation engineering with an emphasis in the design and construction of state and municipal roadway projects as well as downtown redevelopment and streetscaping projects. Fredlund will be responsible for the growth and development of DRMP’s transportation presence in Georgia while providing project leadership and mentoring for the transportation staff. Three DRMP Surveyors Hold Board Positions in Florida Surveying and Mapping Society Mike O’Neal, Survey and Mapping Project Manager in the Tallahassee office, has over 29 years of experience. Myers Office DeVaughn brings five years of experience to the firm and will primarily be responsible for annexations, comprehensive plan amendments, planned unit developments, developments of regional impact, and land development regulation amendments. She is responsible for assisting project engineers with drainage analysis, permitting and drawing plans. DRMP Announces New Surveying and Mapping Leadership in Pensacola Williams is a Florida registered professional land surveyor and brings 26 years of experience to the firm. He will be responsible for ensuring timely completion of all current and future surveying and mapping projects produced out of the Pensacola office. De Jesus is a Florida registered surveyor in training and brings five years of experience to the firm. He will be responsible for assisting Williams with project management, client relations and field crew supervision for all surveying and mapping projects.
