Second Set of Public Workshops Held In January 2004

A second set of public meetings was held in Homosassa, Lecanto, and Inverness during the last week of January. Workshop attendees were able to review the candidate roadway improvement projects and discuss comments with project representatives. As a results of these comments, several new candidate projects were added.

Purpose
Citrus County Government has initiated a long-range transportation planning study process to identify future roadway improvements throughout the County. As the County and the entire Central West Coast of Florida continues to experience increasing numbers of residents and businesses, Citrus County has decided that a more formalized planning process occur to identify needs out to the year 2025. This process is used throughout the State to identify and evaluate roadway improvement needs.
