PROFESSIONAL ENGINEER TRAINING (PET) PROGRAM DRMP has developed a comprehensive training program for graduate engineers. The three-year program is designed to develop the graduate engineer into a well-rounded professional engineer by allowing them to learn about and work within three separate, but related, disciplines of their choice for one year each. The program calls for day-to-day mentoring by senior staff and gives the trainee a full understanding of the design, production, and field services provided by DRMP. The ultimate goal of the program is to develop the trainee into a productive resource for DRMP and to also help them find their niche within DRMP's disciplines. Once the training program is completed they will be assigned to their chosen discipline: Transportation Planning, PD&E, Traffic Engineering, Roadway or Expressway Design, Survey and Mapping, Land Development, Municipal Services, Water Resources, Structures, or Construction Engineering Inspection.
