The American Society of Highway Engineers and National Engineers Week have recently acknowledged these efforts by granting DRMP the "Outstanding Organization of the Year 2001" award.

Sponsorships and donations to local non-profit organizations, include the American Cancer Society, Heart of Florida United Way, United Cerebral Palsy, Make-A-Wish Foundation, HCF Foundation, Christian Sharing Center, Central Florida Children's Home, Mustard Seed Foundation, Orlando Union Rescue Mission, Florida Special Olympics, Salvation Army and March of Dimes.
DRMP has been involved with the Engineer-for-a-Day program sponsored by the American Society of Civil Engineers for many years. This program is held during Engineers Week every year to provide high school students with exposure to college and civil engineering as it is practiced. During the afternoon portion of this program, the students are given the opportunity to visit engineering offices. This program involves several individuals who volunteer from their respective departments at DRMP to share their knowledge regarding their particular discipline for this event.
