Administrative / Office Support

Project Accountant

Position Available in:
Orlando, Florida

Project Accountant is needed for our Orlando office.  The successful candidate will be responsible for all aspects of project accounting including:

  • Project set-up, monthly revenue recognition, billing and financial analysis to assist the Project Manager (PM) in achieving profitability goals
  • Verify employee’s chargeable time and expenses to projects in accordance with the established accounting standards and billing policies
  • Contract management and review
  • Communicate effectively with PM regarding contract documents, change orders and other contract modifications, approvals, and any additional services related to revenue generation and billing
  • Respond to client inquiries
  • Perform additional assignments as directed by the Accounting Manager

    
Requirements:
Associates Degree or some college courses in accounting or business preferred.  Solid computer skills with experience in MS Word, Excel and Outlook.  Strong customer service that includes adaptability, flexibility, and the ability to respond quickly in regards to problem solving.  Strong organizational skills, writing and verbal communication skills a must. 5+ years billing experience with at least 2-3 years of A/E environment. Experience working with a construction or engineering firm. Deltek Vision experience a plus.

Construction Engineering Inspection

Senior Construction Inspector (CEI)

Position Available in:
Pensacola, Florida

Senior Construction Inspector with 4 years of experience in construction inspection is needed for our Pensacola office. Candidates must have 2 years’ experience in bridge and/or roadway construction inspection, with 1 year experience in highway and/or bridge construction inspection.  Candidates must be able to perform highly complex technical assignments in field surveying and construction layout, checking engineering computations, inspecting construction work, and conducting field tests.
    

CEI Certifications preferred:

  • CTQP Asphalt Roadway Level I & Level II
  • CTQP Concrete Field Technician Level I & Level II (Bridges)

Transportation

Transportation Planning Planner/Engineer

Position Available in:
Cary, North Carolina
Charlotte, North Carolina

Transportation Planning Planner/Engineer is needed for our Charlotte or Cary office.  Desired candidate will have experience with Federal NEPA and NCDOT PDEA projects, including concept and feasibility reports, and have an understanding of the Federal NEPA and North Carolina SEPA processes.   Past experience with the NCDOT Merger process, preparation of corridor studies, conceptual design and engineering, public involvement, and environmental planning along with exceptional oral and written communication skills are beneficial.

In addition to project management and business development activities, key responsibilities of the position include preparation of reports and documents consistent with federal and state rules and regulations, data collection, public involvement outreach, alternative development and analysis.  Experience developing project scopes and fee estimates is a plus, but not required.
    
Requirements:
Candidate must hold a Bachelor of Science degree from an accredited Civil Engineering, Urban Planning, or related program, and be a registered North Carolina  PE or AICP with at least 5 years of NCDOT PDEA project experience.

The successful candidate must have a Bachelor of Science degree in civil engineering with EI registration preferred.  Candidates must have experience in highway and roadway design including geometric design and preparation of roadway plans, typical sections, cross sections, and calculation of roadway quantities.  Proficiency in MicroStation and GEOPAK is a plus.

Candidates must be experienced in stormwater management design, construction plans preparation, permitting, report writing for Transportation and/or Municipal Projects.  Experience with FDOT projects, highway drainage and hydraulic stormwater modeling is a plus.
