GENERAL CIVIL - HOSPITALITY

The design of this 192-acre development was fast-tracked to allow for early construction of the site infrastructure.  The development included a golf course, 1,500-room hotel, convention and meeting facilities and extensive recreational amenities.  A master stormwater system along with retention ponds became features of the golf course and detention areas.  Extensive surveying was necessary to allow for an overall site plan to provide for mitigation of natural areas.  The site development included an extensive roadway system, parking areas and tie-ins to perimeter public access roads.  An elaborate network of site utilities was designed providing for a wastewater central plant.

1,200 acre mixed use tourist/commercial development located on the west side of the I-4/CR 532 interchange.  DRMP has provided engineering services throughout the ADA/DRI process and is currently providing Phase I infrastructure design services, golf course design, and interchange modifications.  Phase I infrastructure includes 2.5 miles of roadway design; master stormwater design; and water, sewer, and reuse main design. Phase I is providing services to the tourist/commercial center of the project. The 36-hole golf course design includes mass grading, master stormwater and re-use water main for irrigation. The I-4/CR 532 interchange improvements include design of free flow right turn lanes and pond modifications to provide an aesthetically pleasing entrance to the project. DRMP also had the lead role in permitting with SFWMD, SWFWMD, FDEP and FDOT.

DRMP was responsible for the civil engineering design for the Bay Lake Tower project located on Bay Lake adjacent to the Contemporary Hotel at Walt Disney World in Orlando, Florida.  DRMP provided design services for the 16-story tower building which included demolition of existing facilities, stormwater management, water distribution, wastewater collection, environmental protection, paving, grading, permitting services, and construction observation.

 

DRMP provided site/civil design and permitting services for the Omni Resort Hotel at ChampionsGate.  This 26.5-acre parcel is located in Osceola County, Florida as part of the ChampionsGate Golf Development.  The overall development included several miles of one and two-lane roadways, master stormwater system and two 18-hole golf courses.  Services specific to this site included roadway layout and design, parking lot layout, stormwater management, water distribution, sanitary collection, surveying, agency coordination and permitting.

 

The Project is located within the Downtown Disney Development near the intersection of Hotel Plaza Boulevard and Buena Vista Drive The site includes 12 new multi-storied timeshare buildings with associated infrastructure including: stormwater management facilities designed to current standards, parking and utilities.  The retrofit and infill project involved updating the site to maintain existing wetlands and lakes to comply with the more stringent standards of today’s regulatory criteria.  A labyrinth of existing utilities was evaluated and modified to serve the new project while keeping the existing Downtown Disney in full service.  DRMP provided construction support for the duration of construction.
