Ginsburg Tower and Downtown Campus Expansion

Ginsburg Tower and Downtown Campus Expansion
Florida Hospital

DRMP performed conceptual design, civil engineering design and various studies for Florida Hospital’s Ginsburg Tower project. The project was studied and designed for a period of five years.  Florida Hospital Orlando’s new 15-story patient tower, which houses 440-patient beds (200 upon completion and 240 future beds), one of the largest Emergency Departments and one of the largest cardiac catheterization labs in the Country.  The new patient tower was designed to create a total healing atmosphere that reduces stress, replenishes the spirit, and is visually appealing.  The project was delivered in a design-build methodology with all key stakeholders working together to conceptualize and design a “healing environment,” which was important to Florida Hospital and their patients.  The patient tower was completed in late 2008 and opened to mark Florida Hospital’s 100th year of service to the Central Florida community.
