Professional Engineering Services
Central Florida Research Park

Central Florida Research Park is the largest, most successful research and development park in Florida. It consists of 1,260 acres of mixed use and industrial buildings and infrastructure.  DRMP has served as a continuing services consultant for the past three decades providing all services related to DRI/ADA, surveying, roadway, stormwater management, water and wastewater treatment, distribution and collection design, comprehensive civil engineering services, traffic operations design, signalization and construction management.  Currently, our projects for the park include performing inspections of the entire master drainage system, advising on maintenance and providing updated certifications to St Johns River Water Management District and performing a pavement assessment to prepare a prioritized list of mill and overlays to include in their annual allotted budget.

LeeVista Westside
FamLee Investment Company

DRMP was tasked to lead the production of a Developmental Plan for the 14.4-acre, 6-lot subdivision in the 1,956 acre Lee Vista Development and the oversight of the infrastructure design, construction plans and permitting.  To assure a smooth permitting process, DRMP staff conducted interagency coordination between the City of Orlando, Florida Department of Environmental Protection, Orlando Utilities Commission, Florida Department of Transportation and St. Johns River Management District. The project work also included a mass grading and unsuitable material removal plan, environmental assessment report, and design of a 2-lane roadway, stormwater, potable water, sanitary sewer and reclaimed water systems.

CSX Evansville Western Railway Intermodal and Auto Terminal Facility
TransDevelopment Group

DRMP is providing civil engineering design and permitting for the massive 300-acre Intermodal and Automotive Terminal Facility in Winter Haven, FL. The facility includes parking lots, rail yards, building and stormwater retention areas.  In addition to the facility, approximately 5.3 miles of additional track will be installed in the existing right-of-way for a second mainline and new lead track into the facility. A two-lane access entrance road will also be constructed as a means to access the facility from the Pollard Road Extension.

Gainesville Nissan
TT of Alachua

DRMP was responsible for the civil engineering design and permitting for the addition of a 466-space parking lot and 36,000-sf office building and garage for the Gainesville Nissan Car Dealership. One major challenge of the project was designing a phasing plan in order for the dealership to remain open during all phases of the construction.  DRMP staff also worked with Gainesville Regional Utilities and the City Urban Forestry Inspector to design around existing trees in the right of way along North Main Street.  This project was awarded the City of Gainesville’s Beautification Board Award in the commercial category.  One of the main reasons for the award was the innovative parking layout that maximized the parking and allowed for the required street trees.
